Anything Good Takes Time
Anything worth calling good takes time. Most times we get to see the result only after we have tarried on that work for a very long time. Is it building a company, or a relationship, or having capacity….they all take time. In fact our doggedness to not give up shows faith in what we are doing. It might not look good now, give it time.
A student only graduates because they have been consistently doing their quota as a student over a period of time, our muscles starts getting noticed after we have been dedicated to consistent workouts over a period of time. Had we given up at any time….we go back to zero. It is always a marathon, never a sprint.
Looking at the scriptures Acts 2: 42 - 46, shows this principle very vividly.
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
The secret to the signs and wonders, holy fear, oneness, increase in the church that happened to the first believers was because they continued. It is in continuity that we stumble in great harvest. Its is never a sprint, always a marathon.
I write this to encourage those that are more concerned about the process that just the end result, because the end does not always justify the means. In the finality of time if the means is not correct, the end will be questionable.
Finally, are you yet to see results?…. then you have keep grinding.
