Creating Systems
Yesterday was so busy that I forgot to write. It was around past 12am that I remembered I didn’t write the previous day. It was not that I didn’t want to write, it just skipped my mind. This scenario really highlighted the importance of creating systems. Systems helps to make things run smoothly even when we encounter very tight schedules.
Going forward, I have decided to set an alarm that informs me to write. My dedication is to attend to that duty by writing. The thing is, it is possible I won’t even write much at that particular but at the very least it has created a temporary unfinished task in my brain which from my experience will be at the fore of my mind for the rest of the day. This consciousness will spur me more to complete that write up later in the day. Is this system perfect?, No. But I am more concerned about progress than perfection.
